DYFI protests arrest of innocents in Bajarang Dal activist murder case, demands reinvestigation
Mangalore, May 27: Accusing the police of having arrested three innocent Muslim youth in the murder case of Bajrang Dal activist Rajesh Poojary at Bantwal two months ago, the district unit of Democratic Youth Front of India (DYFI) undertook a protest rally from Ambedkar circle which culminated in front of the deputy commissioner’s office here on Tuesday.
Along with DYFI activists, family members of the three arrested in connection with the case participated in the protest in front of DC’s office.
The protestors demanded release of the innocent youth and a re-investigation in the murder case.
Addressing the protestors, DYFI district president Muneer Katipalla said that the police officials heading the teams constituted to investigate the murder case had ‘fixed’ the case on three Muslim youth who were innocent. The arrested Hussain, Imran and Irshad are bread-winners…
