BANGALORE: In simultaneous raids across the state, Lokayukta police swooped down on seven officials and unearthed disproportionate assets worth over Rs 9.7 crore from them.
The raids began at the crack of dawn in Bangalore, Chitradurga, Kolar, Mysore, Ramanagaram, Tumkur and Yadgir districts.
The officials raided include NB Seetha ramu, assistant executive engineer with Karnataka Industrial Development and Finance Corporation (KIDFC); KN Jagadish, commissioner, Kolar Town Municipal Corporation; E Ramakrishnaiah, child development project officer, HD Kote, Mysore district; Shivananjappa, deputy tahsildar, Bangalore South taluk, Banashankari; U Shivanand a, junior assistant in Karnataka Food an d Civil Supplies Corporation, Shimoga; N Umesh, first division clerk at the district institute for education and training in Tumkur; Bhimaraya Kawaldar, assistant executive eng ineer in the panchayat raj engineering division of Shahapur, Yadgir district.
